Not only into the classroom I wish you to come But along untouched avenues I invite you to trod. Explore! Drink in the vastness of what lies before you. Nothing to memorize, no lists to write Just read, imagine, create! Plunge forward into the deep, Leap into the crevices. For it belongs to all who long to bask in its beauty. Let us long for it, find it, love it. Come, my friends, let us seek knowledge! |

Yes, very well written. Knowledge is a treasure especially when the heart desires to seek it and not consider the gathering a burden. Loved this! Eric |

Wonderful write and invitation, dear shelerella! If only all teachers were that convincing! The innate thirst for knowledge longs to be quenched. And with passion it tastes so much better! Love, Margherita |

"Just read, imagine, create! Plunge forward into the deep, Leap into the crevices. For it belongs to all who long to bask in its beauty. Let us long for it, find it, love it. Come, my friends, let us seek knowledge!" ~ It would appear that you are a teacher? ~ and if so, I'd wager that you are a very inspiring one! My eldest daughter is a Junior High School teacher and I am showing this to her! I know that she will appreciate it as much as I do! For the love of learning! EA |

yes I am a teacher... 6th grade all subjects, seventh grade spelling and creative writing... and I was a bit exasperated at my pupils' desire to memorize and regurgitate instead of handing in a creative paper that would show me what they THINK about what we're learning... not just the facts of what it is. I don't know how convincing or inspiring I was to them, I have to admit. That remains to be seen! |

as I read this, I thought of this ageless truism: "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." ...nice write |

I really like this poem. I was fortunate enough to have had a couple of teachers who inspired me and helped me tap into my imagination. Well done and your students are lucky. Alison |
