The world crashes sometimes Doesn’t it? Somehow I forgot that life includes death There are days when the sun shines bright And every which way green meadows beckon They tell you how good you are They hold you in warm arms And entertain you with delicate flowers And there are days When the sky opens And rain races from the sky straight into your soul Crushing your thoughts And soaking you to the skin with the cold reminder That life includes death And love always suffers this |

Yo dear Copperbell, I’ve never read any of your work before. It’s nice to know you. This is an interesting poem and the idea behind it is a good one. Love Bobby |

Copperbell - Ah yes, the world does come crashing down at times. Not pleasant for sure, but perhaps with thoughts of these written words one can continue on... BC |

This is a sad but beautiful poem, Copperbell. I don't know if I have read you before. Hope to see more. Ida |

This resonates deeply. Love suffers, I suppose, because it bears the burden of sustaining us in the uncertainty of that life/death duality that is ever present. "And death is ever neigh." ---Thomas Hardy. I am just beginning the adventure of reading your poems. Thanks, art |
