I am waiting for a breeze to sweep The winter from my eyes I am looking toward the south For summer geese to fill the skies I’m weary spent of icy limbs And landscapes carved in white I’m going to travel on a dream Of summer green tonight Let sunshine warm my winter bones Let flowers fill my soul Erase the gray of gloomy skies Sweep out the biting cold Let balmy fragrance fill each breath Let pastel colors trim The woods with lacy purple On a January whim But even poet minds can handle So much fantasy And then give in to blankets And a nice hot cup of tea ELizabeth Santos |

I think it was a February day that I spent driving around with you enjoying the "Crystal Forest" that covered southeastern Pennsylvania after a huge rain storm froze an icy covering over hill and dale. That was gorgeous.. but I like summer too! Thanks, Lizzy.. |

I'm smiling big at this one Elizabeth. Yes, I share your sentiment exactly. However, I will take just a dash of milk in mine please. Eric |

SO lovely! I love cuddling a book and sipping hot chocolate on a cold December day.... but come January, I'm always ready for my bones to thaw! |

Elizabeth, Oh, I so understand this and long for the same thing. I want color and flowers and sunshine that has warmth. It's coming - I know it is. In the meantime, join me for a cup of tea? Alison |

A lovely poem, here's to spring and a new beginning for all. I like mine white with no sugar. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |

I'd love to be sitting with you before a warm fireplace sipping tea, and watching the winter, outside. Love you, Liz! |
