You Promised Why can’t you do what you told me you’d do, Tell me this girl, tell me now what happened to you, You said we’d be together, forever, now tell me the truth, Tell me why can’t you do what you told me you’d do, You promised me your heart, and then you broke mine in two, Tell me this girl, tell me now what happened to you. Tell me, why cant you do what you told me you’d do, Tell me why can’t you do what was promised by you, Tell me now girl, tell me, What happened to you? The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

Those are tough questions that have been asked many many times before.....They are what I call bluesy hurting questions..... The answers hurt worse sometimes.....But with the right words the blues will heal ya!.....(smile).... As quoted by John Lee Hooker Eric |

Sometimes, the promise is made without the heart and mind being in harmony. |

Thanks, Eric,Midnight and Alison, I wrote this as song lyrics (boy band, perhaps)20 years ago about a girlfriend that told me she was getting married to her other boyfriend. (ouch) Some promises are only made for convienence. Some are made to be broken, but both parties don't know it until they are. However, nothing bad happens, that something good doesn't come from it. (See "I said, I love you") Big Hearts to all. WT. |
