The Boy And The Beast In the wake of the destruction of the town The beast slowly walked away Satisfied that it had destroyed it's enemies The dark and dismal day just befor dawns early light The true devastation of the towns undoing became all to clear, Only a handful of the towns folk men still remained The women and children hid away from the destruction Something had to be done about the beast A champion had to be found one that was brave and strong But no man would come forward to slay the beast One boy raised his hand, and declared he would go One small and lonely lad Not even big enough to sit astride his horse Let me! he declared I will slay the beast, you will see But only laughter was there heard from the remainder of the town, I well go anyway I will show them that i am strong So he grabbed a sword and mounted a horse And rode through the night to his demise As he found the beast and challenged his foe The beast fought well and moved with ease, But the beast was beaten and slain to the ground By a very brave boy named Hercules.
