Several years ago, I was introduced to the dying ward at the local hospital here in the Port Richmond neighborhood of my beloved Philadelphia. I was able to escape with my life that time. Some time soon, I probably won’t. However, many of my fellow patients were not so lucky. They did not escape. They went their way, wherever they were heading. Death always brings out the best in people. It’s the final fight, and everyone, young or old, be it quick, or slow, wages it gallantly. God bless them all. Bobby |

Death can bring light and peace. I work in hospice and see this very often. This was a sensitive topic nicely written. |

I am glad that you escaped, and also that you have concern, compassion and admiration for those who didn't. Owl |
