The house master takes one look
at eight year old Bones,
and tells Mom Bones doesn’t need
to go to school anymore.

Mom doesn’t like that very much,
but there’s nothing
she can do about it.

Bones, he’s perfectly satisfied
with that situation.

He never did like school
when he lived in Philadelphia,
and here in Quebec
he can’t even speak the language.

The house master
says Bones can spend his time
working around the house,
cleaning up,
and doing other household chores.

That’s fun for Bones at first,
and then he gets tired of it.

It doesn’t take Bones long
to get very tired
of doing house work all day long.

Bones doesn’t think
he will like living in Quebec.

Bobby - If I was 8 again, I would feel as Bones. His brain is prime for learning and starving for input. Without it, it's like taking a "bite out of mind" and leaving a casualty. Intriguing, this poetic slice of Life. Namyh

Bones was lucky enough to get back to school. Many didn't, and still don't. This happened many years ago.

Thank you for the good advise to all the Bones in the world. As you know, there's a bunch of them.
