Spirit of the Earth Renewal, even in the depths of drifting ideals A covenant, made at creation’s perception Breeze blown, in whispers of loyal oaken leaves Buried in white sleep, until the gold of forthcoming Clear cut her hair, and she is adorned in another style Grown in the fanciful mirror of change, its clarity crisp Coat her in dust, only to awaken to the showers of April rain Clean and refreshed, as the psalms predict, reborn and steadfast Spirit of the earth, a prayer said in every dawn Promised at each twilight Devotion Is her kiss Copyright Kkh 1/22/09 |
