when frienship's hand salutes like Michelangelo's and eyes of surrender mix in chapel-tones of furtive frescos when hearts rush together like snow-melt downpours o'er barren fields of sun-drenched earthen bakeries, ere paramours weave their thoughts into each other's harried heartstrings and no event of man nor nature's making can cause their soon departings the very deepest nature of these ones we adorn as 'friend' is that right or wrong (thick or thin) they shall remain so 'til the end |

sorry, inked...meant it as a statement...but then I did write it on a PDA and it certainly doesn't look like it did on my small screen, but I do thank you kindly for taking the time to read and comment...regardless of my 'inclarity.' |

I have a hunch that you, yourself, would be a friend such as you have so beautifully written. Lovely write, Steave! Linda |

inked, "priceless" and friend are perfect words to go together...as if they were made for such a union...thanks for replying and helping me to make myself clear... Bill, you words speak volumes about the faithful friend...thank you for reading and choosing to comment...I certainly appreciate that Margherita, I am so glad you liked the part you chose to quote (really liked it myself and was hoping someone else would)...thank you for taking the time to point it out...and, of course, thank you for your extremely generous comments... TD, Isn't it so much easier to put the thought on paper when inspiration makes an appearance? Thank you for your insight and, yes, your inspiration. ARTIC, I'm not sure that a friend needs to be perfect, but, as you say, just by being there they wear the shoes of friendship well. Thank you for reading and thank you very much for commenting...it was kind of you... Burk, It is always good when someone 'gets it'...and I'm sure you realize that...thank you for reading and leaving your kind reply...I know the ending is a little trite, but sometimes the most apt description is the common Linda, You are causing me to blush...then again, the best way to have a friend is to be a friend...ancient adage almost lost in present society...thank you very much |

Steavenr - It seems that the longer I live, good friends become less and less in number. And there is a need to keep the ones still alive close while keeping the ones lost tucked in my treasure box of memories. Thanks for your poetic reminder well crafted with friends in mind. You did good Stevenr. Namyh |

My apologies to you, Steaven, but I'm afraid you are going to have to blush again. I believe that only a person who truly understands what a real friend is, and who is that real friend, could write such a gem, in content and in art. Owl |

Namyh, Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment on this...I appreciate it. There is an old saying that says that he who does not learn from living is not. The longer I live, I notice that I lose friends from this life and it cause me to appreciate the ones I have left even more. Here's to good friends... Owl, If I didn't know better, I would think that you and Earth Angel live on the same block. You are both good at extreme compliments (now there's an idea for a new reality show.) Thank you for your generosity and time. yann, wow..."stunned"...now there's a compliment, indeed! Thank you very much...I am glad that it captured your attention and even happier that you chose to comment on it. Thanks. It is truly appreciated. |

Hi steavenr, There are many types of friendship. Those that begin in intimacy and grow into frienship are the best kind. Nicely done. Turtle |
