Within the Bamboo Forest Have you ever walked through a bamboo forest and stood among the canes, listening to the wind blowing while soaking up some rain. The bamboo sings to you as it dances in the wind, within the bamboo forest you feel warm and luscious as in the presence of friends. JamesLee 19January 2009 |

When I was a very young child - about 7 years old, I spent the night at the house of friends of my mother's and it was right next to a bamboo forest. I tried to stay awake all night (but probably fell asleep very soon!) as I was magically transported by the creaking of the bamboo trunks, so yes, I know the songs they sing. Thank you for reviving this memory. Owl |

Never been there, but, then, again, it's wonderful to know that poets, such as yourself, can bring us there through your words. Thank you. -Bob |
