Valkyrie Peace came forth from above Rays of the sun shined down onto All caught in its touch grace Such a ray never before seen A voice like none other Bellowing out across the land Those who hear flood with peace Anger, sorrow, and hatred vanish Animals from all over Migrating closer to the source Man stood by unsure of what to do Approach or run, nobody knew On the ground light condensed Rising up from the earth A nymph in a class all her own Stood on earth before all to view From her back emerges swiftly Wings only heard of in fantasy Shining bright hid her torso The eyes of men too lusty Hair hung down low Braids as thick as rope Deep dark eyes rained down upon Blueness no one could ever achieve. Her melody ended Silence ensued the land Animals around her lay down Men oblige and kneel before her Scanning the land around her A smile creeps onto her lips They part to release a melody Dwarfing the previous from memory Men and beast alike Raise their eyes to view A beauty by all standards A beauty called Valkyrie |

That is my cat's name, my daughter is Freyja. I love this poem, because it incites many things within me that I seemed to have forgotten over the years..all the things I've learned about the mythology of the Norse. Much enjoyed. |

Yo Elemental Warrior, Is there a lot of that going on down your way? Here in Philly we don't see many chicks riding around on flying horses, and the closest merry-go-round is in Willow Grove Park, about fourty miles up the road. BTW--It's a great place for fun. The "Ride of the Valkries" by Richard Wagner was my first introduction to classical music. I loved the tune, and still do. Bobby |

Where are you getting merry-go-round from? |
