What of longing…
of waiting…
for that first word…
that oh so tender sweet… hello.

My heart beats faster,
as the day now brightens,
the magical dream begins,
and it feels like it’s never gonna end.

Bantering on like long lost loves,
though never seen nor heard nor touched.
Perhaps it could be…
though it may never be more.
Yet we are content,
with mere words and shy affection.

The clock strikes one,
it’s time to say goodbye again.
The yearning comes once more…
… another new day worth aching for.
