Of Roses, Sage and Love, for Leah and Ralph |

The scent of roses and sage, incense and candles... fill the air tonight with chants and prayers of serenity, in an attempt to lighten the heartbreak load of adagio. Waving last year's burning sage stick over Leah's newly planted Snow Hill Sage, I felt incredibly sad yet glad she is beyond physical suffering. My heart goes out to Ralph, whose suffering has just begun. When this life passes, one moves through the light to join the cosmic universal unity of life. Some believe we each return to complete unfinished tasks. I believe Leah's spirit shall return, for there are more roses, pineapple sage to plant, and hearts to nurture and heal. RIP, Leah, who was a special lucky lady, loved by Ralph, a very special man. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (06-03-2009 10:14 PM).] |

Bobby, thank you for reading and commenting. Helen, what a kind comment, thank you dear one. Ralph will need all the support we can give him as the impact of losing Leah hits him each day. The poetry he wrote expressing his love for her was truly beautiful and heart warming. RIP, Leah. |

She would have loved all of it. Like you, Leah understood having "church". thank you so much Kacy I shake my head you forget yourself, as you lend comfort to them that grieve. (Leah would have handed you first pick of the vine...) I'll love her forever--and you too. |

Oh she did: she loved rosemary and love-lies-bleeding vines of lace boughs of red hearts superceding simple things like mint's lament and ROSES bigger than a fist (I think I said that twice before) and all the honeysuckled scents that never will can be ignored... She brought me eggplant purple-proud and yellow squash in morning dew with kisses and a gaiety secrets of just you and me... "Don't let the sun, catch you cryin'..." She sang that line to me, off-key: throaty sparrow singing me my wings unto the sky, she sighed: "don't let the sun...catch ya cryin'..." Thank you kacy--a hard day, put to bed. |

Karen, this reply left me with a quiet tear. Thank you for sharing this beautiful personal story of Leah. It's easy to see why our sweet adagio loved this lady so deeply. Leah possessed a shining beautiful heart and soul, and though I never met her, I find myself missing her and her zest for life today. Hugs to you this morning, K, and Ralph...may you find some comfort in your gardens, where Leah's spirit will forever bloom. |

I can't read this without tears because this world has lost a beautiful spirit and my friends are hurting. But a smile keeps peeking through... because friends have a way of making even the darkest times a bit easier to bear... and this thread is pure testament to that friendship thing. *S* K&K... you're both beautiful... HUGS to you. |

Suthern, you are wonderful. Thank you, for being here to offer support for Ralph, who will be needing hugs and understanding hearts. I remember his Katrina 'Missing Mom' thread. As I recall, you were the one who was able to locate his mom after they evacuated the nursing home. Always, you are a wonderful friend. loveya, lady! |

Thank you so much, Margherita, for being here to support our adagio, Ralph, in this time of need. The Pips friendship chain seems to be endless, and appears to have its own unique spiritual power supply. |
