and should we
test the patience
of destiny
neglecting a dream
of infinite possibilities
failing
to venture
beyond
luscious-green
meadows

splashing
in sacred puddles
of hope
glistening
on this fertile ground
where we
sprinkled
sugary-coated promises
of love
divinely infinite

would destiny
forgive our lingering
hearts
and just
smile...
