In fields of wild flowers, I seek the light of your eyes, Only to see you in a tall tower. Thinking all I get are good-byes. Just a boy and not yet a man, The field grows wider with each passing day, I do all that I can, I always end up on my knees and pray. The wheight of the world crashes down, It seems to be put all on me, I see the sadness of others when I frown, I know more than I see. They depend upon me for happyness and joy, Or so it seems, I can't screw up its not allowed, Not for me. Not for me. I am the foundation on which they stand. Unable to pursue the things I love, My arms are stainging to hold them all up. What will happen if I fall? Will they fall completely? Will they abondon me? They make this harder for me. But never the less I will hold them up. With the strength given to me by God, I will stand my ground and hold onto them. They will not fall far when I am with them. I will catch them and sacrafice my own pursuits. |
