One morning at the break of dawn As filtered sun beams touched the lawn A single whiff of fragrant breeze Brought silent peace beneath the trees Then reaching down, the golden sun Unfolded petals one by one And in its sweet simplicity A rose looked up and smiled at me Elizabeth Santos |
