Pea green soup tank top and shorts,
covered with an overlay
of moist burnt umber earth
sensuously staining pockets
of seed packets.
Khaki-cool moments under a shade tree
sipping fresh mint green tea
or a glass of fine red wine.

This is how I prefer to let the days slide by
‘neath a warm azure or brilliant cobalt sky
filled with fanciful shapes of capricious clouds,
listening to a cheerful chorus of song birds,
watching chipmunks in their racing stripes
scurry from the house to the trees,
challenging sassy squirrels, birds and bees
for prime habitat beneath spreading canopies
of fragrant flowering annuals and perennials.

Life is a gift to be treasured,
cloud-by-cloud, song-by-song,
moment-by-moment.

I'll grab an ice cold beer and join you?

I was really relaxed upon reading this, taking time to smell the proverbial roses... which is no small feat at work.

LOL, it's a gray 'dreary' day today so I had to conjure up a better vision, but when the sun is out, bring your six pack!
And yes, there are antique rose bushes (complete with thorns).

I love gray dreary days. Can I still bring my six pack? And fifth of Crown?

LOL, I actually like gray days too, and love rainy days.
Yep, c'mon over and kick back.

Mmmm!  Lovely!  I relaxed for a moment, with you there, enjoying the sun and the animal and plant life.  Hope you didn't mind my joining you without asking!
