There are things in life that I can’t explain Like why my old truck sputters when it rains Or how the smile of a child warms my heart And how the touch of your hand can melt my soul Those are all just simple unexplained things to me But that’s not what gets me Keeping me up at night Spinning round and round in my head Making me ask why Now, baby, I don’t know Why life changed its mind and altered our plans You said you understood why I had to go But I guess I should have know Its just one of those things I can’t explain But that’s not what gets me Keeping me up at night Spinning round and round in my head Making me ask why What kills me What’s eatin’ me up inside Is known I had to go and you wouldn’t even try To see my way To hear my side Hell you wouldn’t even say good-bye Cause that’s why gets me Keeping me up at night Spinning round and round in my head Making me ask why Sorry, I've been gone for so long. As many of you know my fiance passed away last year and I've pretty much had a brain block sense then. But it looks like life's gonna be alright. Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |

A song of the heart is what I hear in this piece. I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome back home. |

Yo dear Fmlbarebackrider2001, This is a very effective poem. It's always very sad to lose a dear one. I'm sorry to hear about that. Please keep writing good poems like this one. Love Bobby |

Thanks guys! Always good to see that you like what I've written. "Not everyone can be heros. Someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they pass by." Will Rogers |
