those things we did inside our minds
like we were both someone else
with someone else
and we were most of the time
except for those glance dance times

when you were taller then he was
and were looking over his shoulders
to see if my eyes were wearing you
and they always were all you had on
when my mind went there with you

you unbuttoned a smile when he looked away
and left it open for the evening
before it got caught on my eye
and unraveled into bedroom whispers
that we could both read in our thoughts

like reciting poetry together separately
watching each other's lips moving
and wishing we were touching them to hours
with some crazy kiss magic potion
that our saliva would turn into then

and make us invisible to our tomorrows

Oh do I remember this well, I think this actually got me more than anything, it was the look! Eventually I couldn't touch his shoulders.
