The Kittsalfly At midnight on the harvest moon when night replaces day It’s then the Kittsalfly will come to frolic and to play Awaking from its slumber in the valley of the moon It only has one night of fun that passes all too soon It runs and tumbles through the sky while chasing shooting stars Then swats the planets all around, first Jupiter then Mars It sneaks up on a comet just to pull its fiery tail Then playfully it runs away leaving a stardust trail But when it needs to take a break from all its fun and play The Kittsalfly will take a cool drink from the Milky Way When the night comes to an end and it is time to rest Then it returns back to its home and its warm starlit nest Until the harvest moon returns and midnight rolls around The Kittsalfly will dream of play and slumber safe and sound So on that magic night my dears if you will watch the sky Then you might be the one to see the magic Kittsalfly [This message has been edited by sewasham (05-24-2009 11:16 PM).] |

You are always a treat to read, dear Stephen, as you carry us into a magical sphere and bring smiles. Beautifully done! A sip from the milky way ... what a fantasy you have. Awesome! Love, Margherita |

Another magical write from your magical star pen! I find your poems of childhood wonder, enchanting. Your inner child always touches the inner child in me! Linda |

I didn't see the picture when I first read this poem - dial up can be so slow sometimes, ya know. I was going to bring this poem back even not seeing the picture - because it is a wonderful, whimsical poem that appeals to me. Thank you again for being one to bring magic to the boards of PiP.
