Somewhere
In Time’s book
Of lost scenes
There must be
A chapter wholly
Devoted to you

In it knights
On horses
With lances
But no favors
On their arms
Canter aimlessly
Around marble
Castle walls

Those young men
Without you
On whom to dream
Never went to fight
For what is right
Much less search
For the Holy Grail

Who then can imagine
What good they would
Have gladly done

For such blue eyes
And long blond hair
