Moonlight dreams

The distant sea is dreaming
In the soft and starry night
Mild shoreward winds are sighing
In the silver spangled light

A tender voice is whispering
Across the lonely space
Sighing in the darkness
Of dreams in our embrace

Spellbound waves are dancing
To the music of the stars
And twinkling on the tapestry
The fiery face of Mars

Glowing as the moonlight
This precious hour brings
And flecks of dazzling colour
To the homing seagull's wings

At last when dawn approaches
The sun wakes up the day
Spilling gold and smiling
As it wanders on its way....

I'll rest with you a moment, and feel your poem. But, rush with me, landward, as the seas and the wind take hold, on the west coast. Spells are cast in your poem

There is something very special about the sun rise. I love to get up early and watch it. Here in the west(Idaho) we watch it come up over the mountains, some times there are pink and gold clowds.

Your poem is very inspiring. Thanks.

I could lie right here, on the bed of your words, and dream of "silver spangled light".
Adored,
H
