When it comes time to do something it seems that things multiply and suddenly another thing cries, “Me, me, me, me, me” and you look at that thing wondering if that thing fits other things or whether it’s just a thing creeping into other things where nothing belongs. So come all things, those merry things, into life’s Pandora’s box where they commune with other things and intertwine their very own things with one rare and special thing to make of that thing a mishmash of all and everything. Things and things and things and they all band together though hardly in tune or melodic in the circumstance of other things all trying at once to be more important things. But in the way of hierarchy there’s always a thing above and a thing above, above, above, all of life’s so merry things banded together and intertwined in Pandora’s box. The box, the box, ‘tis just a thing of the nothing, something, everything, that dresses up in layers to expand and multiply one plain and simple, ordinary, unimportant thing! Helen / 20 May 2009 |

LOL! I have a whole lot of those unimportant things. I know, it is time to get rid of all those unimportant things. |

Ahhh, to be unencumbered, dear Helen! Material and mental things that crowd our lives can be an obstacle to receive new gifts. So let's make room and happily expect the true great things! You got it right, significant reflections as always and put together so very well. Love, Margherita ![]() |

I am smiling sooooooooo wide here. My room is full of things. It is so full of things, I've been getting rid of things, and when I did finally clear one corner by the window? I found a Jade plant in dire condition. It was so bad, I gave it to my green thumbed neighbor, who promptly gave it a new home, thinking that it was a hanging plant, because it drooped so badly. When I showed her what a proper and healthy Jade plant looked like, she was appalled. "What happened?" I blushed and confessed that I thought it was just trying to find a way out of my room. ![]() (Sorry to intrude on your thread with my story, but I have things on my mind now!) You're wonderful, and I very much enjoy your poetry. ![]() |

Oh my Honeybunch, I think I have more of the mental things to get rid of, than the physical things. And NO, it's not an easy thing to do. It's not even easy to get rid of the physical things. But, like you, I am working on it. |

Above all those things, lies hope. Hope for whatever we may wish |

Dear Margherita - What you say is so very true. Here's to the clearing process but how we accumulate as we go along to make the chore an ongoing one. I'm not one to let go of a very good thing though so I'll just keep at it. Karen - Amazing what one can uncover even if it be a gift to another. Wonderful? Still trying to find that but thanks for saying so. We also sometimes need that to know what to look for. If you come across a million dollars you can always send it my way. ![]() Vandana - Thanks. Glad you enjoyed. Sue - Many hands (minds) make light work especially when they band together with a common purpose. We'll all party at the end of it. Osprey - And above hope lies attainment. Thanks everyone. ![]() Helen |
