tonight I saw a baby reindeer, all legs, velvet brown with big soft eyes, looking beyond the fence which contained him he jumped back and scampered forward as if delighted by what he saw and i wondered with curiosity of my own as a pigeon strutted and teased with an unlikely swagger meandering back and forth amusing a little baby reindeer whose mother let him explore - alison |

How absolutely lovely, dear Alison. Such fun, when animals of different species make friendship and play. Enjoyed this much. Love, Margherita |

It reminds me of children in their innocence. When do we become aware of the dangers of others instead of being carefree with no concern of our own well being? Wouldn't it be nice if we all could get along like the baby animals of the world? Lovely write. Tracey. |

Alison - believe it or not, I also seen a baby deer this past weekend. Charming, and delicate it seemed in the brush... BC |

There is a huge cemetary called Rose Hills not far from mey house where herds of deer roam freely. They are pretty tame and will come up close so the kids love going there when the deer come out in the evenings. This time of year there are lots of babies. They are so adorable. Ida |

Margherita, Thank you so much. I love watching animals together in their environment. The reindeer are favorites of mine - they are actually at the University farm. It's not quite their natural habitat, but they are happy and I can watch the babies. Love, A - Hi Tracey, I don't know. I guess we lose our innocence and ability to interact - animals lose it too. We all become wary and untrusting. Sad, huh. Alison - You know, D, you are just weird! (laughing every time I read your comment) ali-san - yann, Baby animals are very special. Thank you for sharing with me. Alison - Mark, Thank you for taking the time to see with me. Alison - Ah, BC, I would love to see a fawn. I have never seen one. Maybe some day, I'll be able to have my wish come true. Alison - Thank you, Linda. I don't do anything special - I just see things around me. It's a beautiful world. Love, Alison - Rick, My friend, thank you for taking the time to stop in. You always make me smile. Alison - Hey, -P, backatcha. Thank you, A - Bruce, Thank you very much. Your comments are always special to me. Alison - Ida, How wonderful. I can't think of a better place for deer to hang out. I'd love to see them. Alison - Tina, I am so glad. Now you gave me a big old smile. A - Sue, Thank you - you are a wonderful and generous woman. Alison - Diana dear, Thank you. I have missed you. I'll see if the pic is still on my camera tomorrow. I looked on my computer tonight and didn't find them. Welcome back, my lovely friend. Alison |
