A pin drop broke the silence |

When a pin drop broke the quiet The book of truths was heard That broke hard years of diet Where silence was preferred Then slowly came some talking And thoughts that cross each mind To then the nights of walking With what had been behind Those years of feeling lonely As walls of silence grew Where bitter took the only True love I ever knew But then a light from up above From somewhere passed the blue Showed again a glimpse of love And feelings that were new And sparks then came to fire Such warmth to fill the heart Again ones all desire With life anew to start A pin drop broke the silence And walls they fell away The sun is warm and giving now I thank that sound each day |

Rick, What a wonderful poem. Sometimes, pins have the strength of wrecking balls. I hope this happy message is about you. I have missed you and am always smiling when I see you have come in and shared a poem. Alison |

Amazing what a pin can do - burst "it" or hold "it" together. Lovely poem. Helen |

Dear Rick, this is a delightful write, showing an evolution that brought back life's gift of love. A pin drop can occur in many ways ... we must always listen. Beautiful! Love, Margherita |

...the sound of a pin is a marvel, and this caused a silent burn beneath my eyelids. I too hope all the pins and needles sewn into silence fall daily, beneath a winging heart Klassy |
