I thought everything would be here to stay The dreams this country has brought How much can they take away? The rules they enforce with the unknown How are we to live with these burdens on our lives? Can we fight? We have to keep looking for the unknown It’s the fire that keeps me searching for a reason It’s the faces that I can’t get out of my head I won’t get a chance to put it up The fight to make a stand against The regulations that keep us pinned down The rules that have us all buried alive Believers follow me Why can’t I make a change here? Where did my freedom go? Is there reason to believe that it won’t come back someday? I keep losing it all The girl I loved, the house I called home The times I have in my memory are gone I feel so useless in this vein of regulations I keep losing it all The girl I loved, the house I called home The times I have in my memory are gone I feel so useless in this vein of regulations |
