Jerry wrote about staying still at home, I felt lucky to read it, astonished and confident, trustful as a quiet fish, feeling that home is a nice place, but I thought : Why did I run in airports, to test myself or my dreams ? to sort the names that I learned in high school ? to forget a girl that tortured my soul and didn’t really know ? to meet new faces, ignorant or arrogant, but smiling and never sneaking about feelings or trendy clothes ? To share other timetables that the ones of my teacher’s job ? to talk other languages that french and give money to smelling tramps ? to enjoy milk shakes or banana splits, or wanderers completing philosophy ? Did I enter in airports to respect all these people because they were breathing the same oxygen that I do ? To forget my cherished parents and have some fun without friendship ? Why did I run in airports Jerry ? The answers inside me are the same that the answers of the small cities, they are like planes, like tarmac or air like the pleasure to go home and drink some hot coffe, to forget the reasons why we do things or don’t. |

I love your philosophical reflections, dear Yann. We may not always know the reasons for the things we do, but they all have some - even if hidden - meaning, no doubt. Airports give a true high sometimes because we feel connected with the vast wide world. This was an opportunity to sip some knowledge and getting in touch with more "movement" than was granted in a small village. Loved this. Love, Margherita |
