the old man of the woods
resting
appearances only
in position
grounded
shading Johnnies
at the word "jump"
on the rise
of season's day
cooling sensational Sues
before the edge
of welcomed nights
lazing
amongst surrounding families
holding high grounds
giving of limb and limb
reaching outward
     a bird in hand,
        beats any bush!
visible
ripped and winkled
skinned
a grim story
layers of meaning
circles of life
times long ago
seasons
now dreams
   embarked
appearances only
for the show
must go on

In rhythms to a rise the days shall follow ... each Yesterday, each Tomorrow.   -  Ct/05

I really like the play on words in this poem.  It's interesting - I have read it a few times now and smile.  It's like reading a riddle (to me, anyway).

Thank you for sharing it.
