Oh, little bird, you come back
To the feeding place you know
And quickly snatch whatever crumbs
I scatter on the snow

Do you depend on this frail hand
To offer and provide
Tomorrow's sustenance to fill
The emptiness inside?

Oh. little bird, you do not know
What little gifts impart
What little crumb of joy it takes
To warm this aging heart

Liz, this is so preciously endearing! I'm still smiling!

~ That is one smart little bird! He knows where he's wanted and loved and will be well-cared for! A mutually symbiotic relationship, for sure! Friendship and love is a two-way tweet! ~ er, I mean, "street"!

Love & Bird Light,

Linda

Awwww Liz, this is so beautiful. I have noticed that once you start feeding God's little creatures, they always seem to come back for more. I love this poem. How are you doing?
