Realms of Light

Rainbow Roses
by Linda L. Dowd

A luminous drop of morning dew
reflects the light of an early rising sun.
As it sits precariously on the edge
of a delicate petal of pink,
a rainbow of color meets my eye.

Within this droplet of crystal light,
lie the secrets of a microcosmic world.
Myriads of rainbow-hued roses lend their
floral essences to this enchanting garden.
~ Promoting inner calm and rejuvenation.

A Shangri-La, where time stands still as
the sweet scent of roses permeates all
of one's being with eternal love and serenity.
A glint of light catches my eye and I gaze
into the liquid promise of roses forevermore.

Pure magic, dearest Linda Angelo Terrestre!

Dawn no doubt fills us with awe and your rainbow roses make for a spectacular event.

You wrap me in hues of enchantment and I love to linger here.

Wonderful offering! And I will most certainly be back to read it ... A keeper.

Love and hugs.

Oh Linda, this cold and stormy spring we're still waiting for "winter" to end, and I can't wait to smell the roses again!

This write almost sounds like a meditation, especially:
Within this droplet of crystal light,
lie the secrets of a microcosmic world.
Myriads of rainbow-hued roses lend their
floral essences to this enchanting garden.
Promoting inner calm and rejuvenation.

We ARE the rainbow of roses!  Thanks for the beauty.

The... liquid promise of roses forevermore....loved that ending.

Haunting, in a way.

Roses have the smile of heaven within their petals.  I look at the tender petals that bloom in beds and am ever amazed at their perfection.  They thrive above all the thorns, and I have to think of the yellow 49er in my front yard, jubilant with his dewdrop rainbows and his pot of gold.  Definitely no spendthrift!!!

Thank you for letting me wander your garden, too!      Soul-soft writing....

Dear Linda - what we see will perhaps have to last us a long, long, time in that land of "forever".  I'm so glad you decided to look at the roses - I will too now that I've finished repeating what didn't work the first time round.  Lovely write as usual!

Linda,

I am such a huge fan of your poetry because it shows so much of you and the beauty of the world through your eyes.

But, my oh my, I love these roses.  They are fantastically magical.

Kinda like you.

Love,
Ali
