The Voice and the Ear by Nicholas Tofteland Chair of love and patience Chair of learning and truth Honesty, never allows delusion triumph Harmony is created by the Voice and the Ear Shine brightly, rain nutriment Replace bother with love Confess the wall coming down Open the home to renovation Rebuild on the firm foundation. Dance joyfully and be glad For what other time but now For it will get worse But grace allows; the Voice to teach and the Ear to learn Tomorrow we welcome in. Looking through the glass The neighborhood bustling as it will Us growing stronger Fortune carried in our hearts The promise of the visit We are one; the Voice and the Ear And you are the one I am joined to From that firm foundation I build, always peeking upward Confident in your nearness Supporting and holding hands We shall decorate the House together Express all our triumphs there A focal point Not mistaking it for what it is not But the truth! Oh, so near! Weaving substance into time Shining moments, love and purpose supreme Following guidance, now to guide Thank you to the Voice sublime |
