Time Fill

A quietness this rainy day
fills the empty
of another scrapped plan,
not one to be as spontaneous
as in youth.

I enjoy the "quietness of a rainy day".

No longer do I feel the need to "fill" every minute as I once did.

I can identify!

The rain often comes to my aid, not being as spontaneous as in youth. My scrapped plan is normally the mowing of the lawn, but I'm happy to sit here and listen to the quiet through the rain.
Nicely captured in your poem.

We have had so much rain, that it actually drowned my flowers.

would that 'Spontaneity' was the only thing lost!

I can relate to this succinct and honest 'write' on many levels!

Ou, those rainy days are either

1) Reflecting days\ Ponder Time!!!
2) Can bring the feeling of "Dread".
3) Or just one of those days (ya know what I mean... hopefully )

Profound write

Youth is so freeing and so fleeting,  I miss those spontaneous moments.

Well, not all the time, but sometimes.
