Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

I AM

I am imaginative and silly.
I wonder if the sky really goes on forever
I hear clouds gossiping as they drift
I see shoodle-doodles dance through my window pane
I want to give a home to all stray animals I see
I am imaginative and silly.

I pretend that my cats and dogs really converse with me
I feel that fairies dance under the moon
I touch their translucent wings
I worry that imagination is being stifled by technology
I cry over hurt and lost animals
I am imaginative and silly.

I understand that I am loved
I say lumpy oatmeal really does make me crazy
I dream of living in the old house that I grew up in
I try to be kind and less outspoken
I hope I share the magic of “pretend”
I am imaginative and silly.

* shoodle-doodles are the dust particles that dance in sun beams. That was my name for them when I was a toddler and it stuck in my family.

In addition to the 3 R's ... I believe we need also worry about the
vanishing 3 C's in (alleged) 'education' ... Curiosity; Creativity;
and Common sense! ...
