Solace

sing me to ease
a ballad of wings,
heavenly

tirra-lirra

soft iridescence

ecru
caress
on waterlogged sky
the chant
in the doves' release
over

burdens of deed,
the crowning of Cloverdale,
of pittance,

of comforting spirits

the laying of hands,
like wings
on grimaced brow
and heavy heart

o joyful
solace

sweet peace,
the light of the dream

Heavenly lullaby for the heavy of heart, to lift it "like wings..." to shake the dust from one's feet and feel trouble melt away.

Very soft read, a lovely place to bask.

You guys created such a piece that I, personally, saw darkness, light, despair and peace all in one.. It may not have been your intended message, but it struck me in such a way.

Beautiful work, you two.
