A cry in the night
A lone man sings
A heart wrenching sound
An Angel clipped of her wings

A tearing of the soul
A tear streaked face
A heart lying broken
An Angel in disgrace

A lover absconded
A lover scorned
A beauty bereft
An Angel unadorned

A darkness encroaching
A numbing of the heart
A deadening of the soul
An Angel torn apart

Delicately penned ~ but effectively portraying the heaviness of a grieving heart.

Oh now.  That's good.  I like the way you arranged this one, I like the building feel.  Well done.

This delicate poem was lovely Eirian.

No man has the power to clip an angel of her wings though, she'll always fly again.
