Aloft, clouds shadowed, reflected onto ink rippled waters, bleached white, shifting shapes. Warm, yet breeze cooled air refreshing, bearing distant kites, transmuted to gulls overhead, plaining sedately. Awakened trees, tiny virescent buds;amber, serene blue, yoke yellow, cerise wild flowers, topping long emerald tongue tips of broad bladed bejewelled grass, lustrous. Carried on springs breath, newly arrived whitethroat song, joining the joy of birds excitement of the new season still to come. Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu 6th century BC. |

especially fine (impressionistic) Spring/Summer imagery! a GREAT joy to read... I am particularly fond of: "...clouds shadowed, reflected onto ink" AND: "...cooled air refreshing, bearing distant kites, transmuted to gulls overhead, plaining sedately." MUCH (long-sustained) applause for this 'penning' !! |

"Awakened trees, tiny virescent buds;amber, serene blue, yoke yellow, cerise wild flowers, topping long emerald tongue tips of broad bladed bejewelled grass, lustrous." Such gorgeous visual scenery, Phil. I always enjoy your ability to write the colors of nature. More, please. |

You convey the blue sky in all it's splendor, the flower beds in full bloom, and the promise of Spring time dancing in the wind. Excellent poem, Goldenrose. |
