Broke beneath the moonlight feral Forced to veil my anomy I walk the paths but bear my teeth alone Visage anomaly The growls and cries and screams are made No words are spoken. Bells ring out, “Asar!” Instinctive sound of death Yet Yama yields nihility These gruesome claws shred grueling fields I march, despite my motive falters Springing forth to spare the scathing Lest my soul be cloven further But I can’t be this forever Has to change, there’s got to be a way I can’t control this, that I am inside The feelings that you sink I will not hide, I will not break I will not cower in the night Oh, let them be afraid of me As I emerge from deeper foulness I, in me, I am the beast of ruin High in might, no soul to steal In transit trance it shows no stain I only feel the wind that blows Cold… No longer can I cover up my seething I’ve been frozen all along My heart becomes an icy chrysalis Not meant to be reborn I am the last remaining of my tribe The Nephilim of Niflheim And I will never leave this world Without a mass demolishing… |

I am the last remaining of my tribe The Nephilim of Niflheim Not sure who these people are. And I will never leave this world Without a mass demolishing… But I like the ending Welcome to pip |

Well, Nephilim is Hebrew, a term used in the Bible that roughly means "those causing others to fall." Some kind of grand beings, I take it. Niflheim is of Norse Mythology. The land of Mist and Ice. Asar is derived from names like Asura, Asra, Aesir, Ashur... Terms related to demons, death, gods and afterlife. Hence "Instinctive sound of death." And Yama is the Hindu/Japanese/Chinese Buddhist God of Death. Thought I'd go ahead and clear all of that up. I've actually been here for a while, but thanks for the welcome and the comment, critical mass. |

I have heard interesting things about the Nephilim. I thought biblically speaking, they were the offspring of angels and the daughters of men, perhaps the predecessors of a race of giants (ancestors of Goliath). There was also something I had read about a reptilian race.. I think you are an interesting poet. Heather ohh, p.s. do you remember Fields of the Nephilim? I think they had some songs where they had taken material from the Necronomicon. |

It's hard to say exactly what they are. Many assumptions have been made, but they remain assumptions. Interesting poet, you say? Why thank you. Mm hm, Necronomicon... It's amazing how a fictitious book has practically become a fragment of mythology. |
