I Wonder... Where are You Now? |

In the evening of the day when all is peaceful and subdued, I gaze upon the West horizon; copper, gold and crimson hued. Swansdown clouds fly, blushing pinkness... trailing amber as they fold, far above, the first stars twinkle... ushering twilight, soft and cold. l wonder... where are you now? Autumn is the time of sunsets; flaming pageants in the skies, Autumn was our special season; we were young... but, how time flies. Golden days and golden memories: first romance... without a care, love and laughter in the Beechwoods; tumbling leaves and tumbling hair. I wonder... where are you now? Yet, far too soon, our pathways parted; young love tends to end like this, no anger; no recriminations; just goodbye... and one last kiss. Then, you were gone... no cause for sorrow; it was fun... no need for tears, but, you were beautiful; your memory shadowed me down through the years. I wonder... where are you now? Down the years, I've sometimes tarried in those Beechwoods that we knew, kicking up the golden leaves where, once we loved... an age ago. The hope of my heart was you would be happy; all your dreams, you might fulfil; the hope of my heart that you walk in sunshine evermore... continues still. I wonder... where are you now? As I approach my Autumn years, my golden memories sometimes cast back to those golden, autumn Beechwoods, far away, and so long past. And, watching one more glorious sunset fading down to velvet night, I smile, as I remember you: not out of mind... just out of sight. I wonder... where are you now? |

The hope of my heart was you would be happy; all your dreams, you might fulfil; the hope of my heart that you walk in sunshine evermore... continues still. I understand such wonderings... and such hopes... and even hope that somewhere out there, I'm in someone's wonderings and good wishes. *S* This is absolutely lovely... picture and poem complement each other perfectly! *S* |

Windhover, This is absolutely beautiful: In the evening of the day when all is peaceful and subdued, I gaze upon the West horizon; copper, gold and crimson hued. Swansdown clouds fly, blushing pinkness... trailing amber as they fold, far above, the first stars twinkle... ushering twilight, soft and cold. l wonder... where are you now? You could have finished there, but it gets better. This is a must read for everyone. Very well done. Tracey. |

These are lovely thoughts weaved into fantastic words. Could make a lovely song as well, very rhythmic. The picture is absolutely beautiful too. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |
