Spring is a little late, this year... for April's close approaches now. The Dog-Rose in the hedge beyond... yet only now, begins to blush her softly delicate, pink glow; so like the sensual, rising flush that warms you; stroking throat and cheek, as we make love... soft, gentle... slow. We kiss, beneath the curtain of your hair... a cloud... pale silken... Gold, where, secretly, our tongues entwine as we caress with fingertips. Such warm and perfumed, honey-softness; sweet delight, round me enfolds, and, I soft, drown... deep, in your eyes; enchanted by your nectar lips. For me, You are The One, for whom a lifetime may be thrown away in searching... knowing She is there, and yet, condemned to never meet. You hold my heart soft, in your hand... my Journey's end... I am complete; Love of my life, Heart of my heart... I love you, more than words can say. And, deep within the secret reaches of my heart, insistently You whisper, soft... "I am The One... you know I am... it's Me! It's Me!" |

I love how you take one subject and somehow blend love and romance into it, and by the end of the poem, I have reached a destination I never knew where I was going in the first place, kind-of like a nice little gift, a surprise waiting at the end~ ~ARH |

Your dog-rose makes me think of a blushed version of our cherokee rose... both are beautiful! *S* But even their loveliness can't compare with your poem... this is gorgeous! *S* |
