.

How strange
This late at night
A bird should sing

It is indeed
A beautiful tune
Even though
Because of clouds
Without the aid
Of stars

As if to say
I know
My time has come

The life that’s left
Rendered down
To what remains
Filtered through
Final hours—

So please
Remember me
When I was young
Pleasing God
With outstretched wings

Even now
Before I’m gone
Some are moved

John,

This is very good.

I still remember my wings, as I'm sure many of us do.

VERY well written!

I am especially fond of the beginning!:

"How strange
This late at night
A bird should sing

It is indeed
A beautiful tune
Even though
Because of clouds
Without the aid
Of stars

As if to say
I know
My time has come(!)"

serious applause !!

I always wondered how the birds know it's morning before the sun comes up?

HMMMM?

Nice write
Tracey.
