Bones doesn’t know how it happened, but it did. Just when he thought his luck would run out, he got taken off the farm by the county, and was placed in town with a lady. The lady was nice enough, in fact she was just plain nice to Bones. She fed him regular, bought him some new clothes, and made sure he got to school. Bones didn’t like the school part much, but for once he tried to do well, mainly to please the lady that took him in. He’d do most anything for the nice lady. After school, Bones would come home, and the lady played the piano and sang for him. His favorite song was The Tennessee Waltz. Sometimes Bones brought a friend from school home with him, and the lady played and sang for the two of them. Bobby |

The Tennessee Waltz was my mother's favorite song and always reminds me of her. I'm glad to know that there was one good foster parent out there. Ida |

I was dancin' with my darlin' to the Tennessee Waltz When an old friend I happened to meet I had a new distance to my darling, while they were dancing My friend stole my sweetheart from me I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz I know now just what I have lost Yes, I lost my little darlin' The night they were playin the beautiful Tennessee Waltz I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz I know now just what I have lost Yes, I lost my little darlin' The night they were playin the beautiful Tennessee Waltz Oh the beautiful Tennessee Waltz Seems fitting somehow that Bones would like this old classic because of the loss of a sweet love........Life just isn't kind sometimes... Hang in there Bones! Glad the lady was so nice to Bones. Eric |

Thanks dear Ida, Yes, it's a nice song. I remember her singing it. She was very nice to Bones. It's sad that after finding someone that treated him nice, he had to die in an accident so soon after. Bones was a good friend. Love Bobby |

Thanks Eric, I'm pleased that you like that song too. That lady was very good to Bones. It's sad that Bones died just when things were turning good for him. Bobby |

Thanks Bill, This happened when Bones and I were in middle school. He told me all about his experiences on the farm. He was very glad to get away from there. Bones and I were older than our classmates in middle school, as we both were held back. I didn't like to go to school either. Bones was killed in an auto accident about two years after this. Bones was a good friend. Bobby |
