after she was seduced at midnight Eve deduced at midnight that her deuce at midnight might accept her truce at midnight Eve let out a breath so are you telling me that the thought of writing like Dr. Seuss at midnight is the reason why i'm meeting you at the Crown and Goose at midnight? howard : admit it Eve you want to get loose at midnight [taking a sip of juice] eve : i guess i do so that's what happened to Seth [pointing] howard : yes but what about Beth? eve : let's go find out [they walk over] bruce : hey look i'ts Howard and Eve howard : Seth, Bruce seth : we didn't expect to see you two here at midnight eve : where's Beth? seth : that's what we haven't figured out yet bruce : you wanna bet she's at home eating a chocolate mousse eve : after midnight? i don't think so beth : hey guys eve : Beth!!!!!! we were just talking about you howard : how's your casino going? beth : not too good some of the customers are complaining that the tables are fixed howard : same old Beth always gambling eve : be nice Howard she's saved your Duncan Hines cake mix more than twice howard : that's because you weren't there to charm my dice Eve eve : true beth : hey, you guys know a good masseuse? i could use one right now eve : i do but he's taken after midnight [they laugh] love, eve & howard |

Maybe more a short Alan Ayckbourn than a poem (you did rhyme midnight with midnight, six times in the first eight lines) But seth and beth was a killer. I think you may have slightly confused the reader: was it beth's casino? It's ambiguous. Thoroughly enjoyed the read though. |
