Like snowflakes, amethystine elytra Adhere to copper vines, rose willow leaves And cacti waltzing in the rasping winds; Flamingoes and lime albatrosses plunge In fluorite waves to feed on lank swan napes, drill infant skulls adrift amid the flotsam; Then oil drops ooze from clouds to lubricate Organic motor parts, seas, scabs and sky, the jawbones of the vise that crushes down all organs that have lived and died within The gastric chamber of our universe, Teal Gaia’s adamantine troposphere. |

It is high time to become aware of all the destruction that we cause. I appreciate your awareness and your artistry to share it! Love, Margherita |

Mark What a powerful reminder of our responsibility as caretakers of the Earth. We are not doing a very good job in many ways. I think we are like children who believe that bad things can never happen to us. The destruction of our planet will effect us - is effecting us and those other living beings that we share it with. Thank you for this important poem. Alison |
