          Midnight Moon

At this, the most unpitying hour,
a mysterious midnight moon
drifts the sea of ragged clouds
  and restless stars
over a lonely world of tears,
where tiny, tenuous dreams
await the softest morning light
to unfurl with the gentle, roaming
breath of Spring.

let the Spring breezes 'unfurl' that 'lonely world of tears' to fall onto the good earth, to bring on the blooming sunflowers!

Really enjoying the way you play with words and its delightful to read about nature painted with words.
