what calm is there that stills the storm
and rests its laurels in eased-filled balms
of comfort in the midst of turmoil,
relaxation pinned to hope's bright calms

settling shades of silence sought
by souls immersed in seas of soothing thought

what calm is there that stills the storm
or comfort in the swell of surge

...what calm employed
...what calm enjoyed
what calm does rage avoid
...what calm?
