Bones Mom Likes Money

Bones Mom likes
to see the money.

Her beady eyes
just gleam
when she sees
some green.

What Mom doesn’t like to see,
is Bones holding out on her.

She always smells a rat,
when she doesn’t think
Bones brings home enough.

She suspects Bones
might just be hiding
some bread away somewhere.

She’s going to have to
sniff that out.

I see this as accentuating the harshness of Bones' lifestyle...so telling, so revealing...well written...so interesting...

Bones is on his way. He'll bring his Wall Street Journal along. He keeps it under his mattress so Mom doesn't suspect any funny business.
