.

Rain falls
Through the air
Rivers flow
Toward the sea

Minutes close
Upon the hour
Hope looks for signs
Beyond despair

Winter was cold
Hard and long
The sky is clear
Calm and still

Glory to my father
Who tonight is near
Christ is risen
Oh Easter moon

John,

This tribute to the "moon" holiday works well for me.

Easter is the only western holiday set by the moon.

"Minutes close

indeed! ... It has been said, of course, that
"there is no 'death' worse than the loss of  'hope'!"
