What do I do with these two dollar dreams tired and terribly spent swap them for sack fulls of penny poor schemes hardly worth half of a cent Grabbing for gold but behold wooden shoes swell in the splintering rain back to the burden of barefooted blues singing a silver refrain coaxing the queens but my jeans looking frayed long in the locks and the tooth time had its way with our wayward crusade stealing my slivers of youth days dribble on now I'm gone from the scene swept by the towering tide stuck in the middle of some in between haggard and nowhere to hide |

Several fave lines here- back to the burden of barefooted blues singing a silver refrain and time had its way with our wayward crusade stealing my slivers of youth This piece flowed nicely and I loved your rhymes. Well done poet. Heather |

Yo Americangothic, No one that's haggard needs a place to hide. They've been there, and they've seen it all. Bobby |

though drawn in first by the title, I was captured by the content...this was a pleasure to read and reads well out loud. Very nicely done |

Grabbing for gold but behold wooden shoes swell in the splintering rain back to the burden of barefooted blues singing a silver refrain This flows like a song... and I love what I'm reading/hearing. *S* Wonderful work! |
