When I do not sleep as on this sharp night, and as happens more of late, I shepherd strays of time's sad wraiths wrapped in ravening darkness gripped in gathering gloom, I wander shadows in backstreets howling at this Moon, my thoughts tonight are ripped by winds as if they're being stripped of any pale humanity gripped by growing greetings of a day that may be threaded true in gristled strips of gossamer and lies. While I am gliding on mistrial winds in a world wracked by discord a sweet dark eyed pequenina doll, a child of her lord, promises she'll pray for me and for my weary soul beyond understanding how much it is untoward, as if mind and spirit could be separated, as if there is a word that could instill a fold in time by which on one side would be me while on t'other'ed be my soul, then would she try so hard I wonder knowing what is immortal's toll, even more I wonder, no doubt despite her prayers, if when I get back there again in time I will be welcomed home in hell. ©2009 by icebox . |

"as if mind and spirit could be separated, as if there is a word that could instill a fold in time by which on one side would be me while on t'other'ed be my soul" Profound, intense, evocative. As always, you strip away facades. |
