            the call of dawn

Sunset closes on this lake of dusk
in a final flash of twilight-ripple
   surrender
to the spinning webs of mist
and stark-black shadow dance
beneath the night's indifferent moon...
as a now quiescent mountain wind,
like all small things of infinite promise
and Nature’s truth...must await the call
  of dawn.

Such a pretty scene you've painted Bruce. You can feel the quiet in the words but also the thrilling anticipation.

You describe "the small things with infinite promise" like no one else, Bruce.
